I purchased these Patriotic furniture transfers from ReDesign by Prima sometime ago and was going to apply them to windows that I had in my inventory. However, after obtaining this console table from a local free market, we decided to see how it work on this table. The table top felt like it was made for this design. I began with prep with Dixie Belle White Lightening to clean and then rinsed off as well. The table was in good shape and did not require any touch ups so I can began with a quick coat of Dixie Belle Boss since the table was vintage and I just was worried about the bleed thru. Next I began with the base coat of Dixie Belle Cotton for the top and Dixie Belle In the Navy for the legs of the table. It took a two coats to properly cover and I always do a light sand in between each coat. For the gold highlights, I used Eternal Gold Wax by ReDesign by Prima applied with a chip brush. After 24 hours I then applied the USA country transfer on the top of the table and then burnished to remove any halo that might be there after the application. These transfers are so beautiful and so easy to use. I find myself wanting to use them on most of my projects but I have to show a little restraint as I know that it does appeal to everyone.
After much debate of whether I should keep it or sell it, I decided to place at my booth in my hometown for others to see and share it with others.
This project was easy to do and I know that it will show well in an office or an entryway. Now let's move on to more as we have many more projects to do!!
